Liu Qiwei, male, a native of Raoyang, Hebei Province, is a member of the China Artists Association. He currently serves as Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Shaanxi Artists Association.
He graduated from the Fine Arts and Design program at Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute and later pursued oil painting studies at the Art Department of Shaanxi Normal University, where he studied under Zhou Zheng and Zhao Zhenchuan.
He also serves concurrently as a council member of the Chinese Museums Association, Deputy Director of the Chang’an School of Painting Research Institute in Shaanxi, and Professor at the School of Fine Arts, Shaanxi Normal University. He previously held positions as Deputy Director of the Shaanxi Art Museum and Fine Arts Officer at the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture.

刘奇伟教授为中国美术家协会会员，现任陕西省美术家协会副主席兼秘书长。毕业于景德镇陶瓷学院美术设计专业，后就读于陕西师范大学艺术系油画专业，师从周正、赵振川。现兼任中国博物馆学会理事、陕西长安画派研究院副院长、陕西师范大学美术学院教授。曾任陕西省美术博物馆副馆长、陕西省文化厅美术专干等职。自1983年参加工作以来，历任陕西省群众艺术馆美术部创作干部、陕西省美术家协会党组成员及副秘书长，学术与行政资历兼备，在当代美术界具有一定影响力。

此幅《映日荷花》笔墨沉稳老练，构图开合有度。大片荷叶以积墨铺陈，层次浑厚而富于变化，数朵朱荷点缀其间，鲜明夺目，极具视觉张力。画面于浓淡对比之间见节奏，于虚实经营之中见气韵，既承文人画之清雅传统，又融入画家个人鲜明风格。整体意境清润高洁而不失内在力量，格调典雅，历来为藏家所重，兼具艺术价值与文化象征。
